The left side shows slices through the Burdick et al. (2009) model and the right side shows slices through the model of Sigloch et al. (2008). As in Animation 5, the animation slices through the volume from the south to the north, progressively revealing the model of the top of the Farallon slab model described in the text. Both tomography models are shown at a common scale in percentage velocity changes with the color scale shown.
