Geosphere, June 2011, v. 7, p. 785-801, doi:10.1130/GES00590.1, Animation 1 - A complete view of the three-dimensional volume with sections shown in Figures 2, 3, 7, and 11. It thus displays what I consider the best result at this point in time. The animation is a continuous slicing through the image volume working from the south to the north end of the volume. The view for the cross-sectional sections is from the south. Radial and transverse components are shown independently at the same slice position in the animation. Perspective was removed to avoid confusing size changes as the volume is sliced. The cross sections display the full image volume, but the map view slices the volume at a depth of 30 km. This solution used the Burdick et al. (2009) tomography model with a parallel S model generated as described in the text. This color map uses orange for positive and blue for negative scattering potential estimates. A volumetric automatic gain control operator has been applied to these data to maximize the dynamic range of the visualization.
