Geosphere, December 2014, v. 10, p. 1161-1176, doi:10.1130/GES00852.1, Animation 2 - Animation of P-wave receiver function data along sections parallel to plate motion. The animation is a continuous slicing of the three-dimensional (3-D) data with the slice location shown on the map to the left with a view normal to the slice plane (from the east). The volume is displayed to a depth of 200 km. The location of the STEEP01 (see text) active seismic line is shown as an orange line on the surface map and in 3-D in the cross-sectional views. The location of Yakutat basement as interpreted by Worthington et al. (2012) is shown in the depth slice on the left as the bottom of the orange box. Other elements are as described in the caption of Animation 1. The lithosphere-asthenosphere boundary (LAB) surface, however, is displayed yellow instead of black to make it more visible against the dominantly blue background.
